I was looking for a post-cruise hotel on the beach or in downtown fort lauderdale.

I first bid $80 for a 4* in the beach zone (on the off chance I'd get the Hyatt) -- rejected

I added Miramar and bid $85 -- rejected.

Then I added 3* and bid $45 -- rejected.

I added the downtown zone and bid $47 -- accepted.

The best rate for this hotel on the Holiday Inn site is $96, and the best on Hotwire is $60, so I'm happy. Despite some of the negative reviews out there, I've stayed at this hotel before and had a nice time.
