euroboy
I've been tracking bidding websites like this one for guidance on making my 1st bid with Priceline.comI started out bidding on 4* hotels in Montreal but soon realized my bids were way too low (<$50) and acceptable bids were way above my budget. So here's what got accepted today on Priceline for 3* hotels in Montreal:Holiday Inn Select Montreal Centreville Check-In Date: Friday, May 16, 2003 Check-Out Date: Monday, May 19, 2003 Hotel Address:99 Viger Ave And St Urbain St Montreal, Quebec H2Z 1E9 514-878-9888Your Offer Price: $45.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $135.00 (US dollars) Taxes: $10.32 (US dollars) Processing Fee: $5.95 (US dollars) Total Charges: $151.27 (US dollars) Using the tax rate tip, I estimate Priceline's cost to be around $43/night.Not bad for first time bidding, heh?PS: I also considered Hotwire (which I've used in the past) but was not finding anything under $50 US. Hotwire's service charges are also much higher. Link to comment
