Darren72
Just bought a night at the Milwaukee Intercontinental for $86 on Priceline. I started my bid at $69. It wasn't accepted but I was asked if I wanted to raise my bid by $17 and resubmit. I accepted this offer and, poof, I got the Intercontinental. There is currently a 4* on Hotwire in Downtown Milwaukee going for $139/night, that I presume is the Intercontinental. Priceline offers the Intercontinental for direct booking at $160/night. So $86 is a good deal. I had been trying to book a room for a few days and had my sights set on the 3.5* Hilton, which is a very nice hotel. But I couldn't get any bites in the $60-$70 range. So I had presumed I'd pay $80 or so for it. Before bidding, I decided to try the 4* tier and am happy with this outcome. Link to comment
