billy123
Where is an inexpensive and safe place to park my vehicle while staying at the Serrano USW. I don't want to spend a lot of money. We will be in San Francisco 7/7/09-7/11/09. Thanks for the help. Link to comment
flyp26
SF parking is pricey for sure. I usually use the garage at 415 Taylor just up the block from the Serrano - 24 hr garage, $30/day (includes all taxes) w/ in/out privileges. I think there is a garage a block over on Jones that is a couple of bucks cheaper, but I wouldn't use it if you need to be there in the evening. Jones and to the west and Taylor from O'Farrell/Ellis down to Market is kind of sketchy. Daytime is generally not a problem if you don't mind the usual urban grit. Link to comment

Turkey Buzzard
The Sutter-Stockton Garage is the least expensive in the area. I don't know about safe, but it's huge so maybe there's safely in numbers?http://www.sfmta.com/cms/pgar/documents/Ga...ofJuly12009.pdf Link to comment
flyp26
The Sutter-Stockton Garage is the least expensive in the area. I don't know about safe, but it's huge so maybe there's safely in numbers?http://www.sfmta.com/cms/pgar/documents/Ga...ofJuly12009.pdfThis is a list of the city-owned lots. There are a lot of other comparable or cheaper private lots (Ampco, California Parking, ProPark, etc.) in the area. I found the website for the Jones St. lot I mentioned above: www.parkforless.org. They say that their $20/day rate includes taxes! That may very well make it the cheapest lot in the area. Of course it is on Jones St - not the best area. I've never used the lot myself, may try it next time I'm up there. The Sutter-Stockton garage is in a good area, just a block up from Union Square. Link to comment
