ttmom
I am not sure that I am doing this correctly, be kind, this is my first post, but I have been snooping on the site for quite a while. It is addictive, seeing all the great deals that this community gets. Thanks for all the hardwork compiling a wealth of information. I am looking for a room with good reviews 3* to 3.5* in Orlando July 28 to August 3, 2009 for 4 families of 4 people each. 2 adults and 2 kids in each room. We really do not want to spend more than $40 a night preferably $30. We will be visiting all Disney parks and Universal. From the excellent info that I have read on here and trip advisor, I think the universal Hyatt place would be a good choice in this price range with good reviews. Also I thought the Hyatt Place would be good because even the king rooms have a pull out sofa bed just in case there are no doubles available. What strategy would I use on Priceline to get Universal Hyatt place for $30 for my dates. I will use this site to access hotwire and priceline. Please advise of other good choices in this price range. This is what I see tonight on Hotwire, please help ID.Dates: 07/28-08/03.....$28Area: Disney Main Gate Celebration3 *Amenities: Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterLaundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet AccessDates: Same ........$37Area: Universal Orlando - I-drive North Area Amenities:Fitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet Access Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm not sure if PRICELINE is going to be the best option for your for this stay as:-you're looking for 4 rooms with quad occupancy in each, while PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy. If you use PRICELINE it's possible you recieve a room with only one bed in the room and the hotel may be unable, or unwilling, to switch you to a room with two beds. While this is a risk you may chooose to take, it becomes more of a risk in your situation since you need 4 such rooms, and also that you're dealing with others who you will have to make sure understand all the risks involved-you are "looking for a room with good reviews" and with PRICELINE you won't be able to take any guess as to the hotel you will receive before your purhcase, with PRICELINE you need to be willing/able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you selectFor your HOTWIRE searches above are you searching for 4rooms/4adults/4children as i'm seeing different properties than what you've posted above when using this criteria. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. yellowdog
This is a match for the previous reported Four Points Studio City, and the TA info is also correct for this hotel. So best guess for this property is the Four Points Studio City. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes.Yellowdog. Link to comment
ttmom
Thanks I will use the hotwire or PRICELINE link from this site to book. I did take a look at all of the reported 3 star properties for priceline in the universal sea world area and they all receive pretty good reviews so I would be willing to take any of them in my price range of course. I will keep you posted. Link to comment
ttmom
Okay I just did the search again on HOTWIRE using the link from this site with 4 rooms, 8 adults and 8 kids and got 07/28 to 8/03 the same property Studio City, so I may just try my luck with PRICELINE Link to comment

ttmom
I used this site's link to bid through PRICELINE and I got 4 rooms for six nights 7/28-8/3 at the Four Points by Sheraton Studio City in Orlando, Florida for $31.00 a night. I called the hotel directly and they said that the pictures on their site are not represenative of the property because they recently completed a massive renovation. It gets four out of 5 on trip advisor, so I think it will be fine. I will update after the trip. Thanks for all of the help. The grand total for four families for six nights came to only $214.83 per family, which I think is great. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $31.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 4Number of Nights: 6Room Subtotal: $744.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $115.32 (USD)Total Room Cost: $859.32 (USD) Link to comment
