HelpMe123
I am new to the forum and bidding on PRICELINE. What will be a decent grab for 2 nights hotel stay in Atlantic city? The median price for 3.5* was quoted to be $238. I am new user so I tried with $110. I received a counter offer for $192.Where would this go from here? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! For starters, you should ignore PRICELINE's "median price" as it's not meaningful nor helpful for a bidding strategy. What is the purpose of this stay... beach, casino, something else?Any thoughts on the Trump Marina... is that an acceptable property for you or does that not meet your needs this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Ruby Tuesday
Welcome,Atlantic City in a weekend is expensive. Do you want a hotel in Downtown?Hotwire: 3.5 * $153 and 2* $129. But this amount changes everyday (yesterday it was $ 10 less, i'm also looking for a hotel in Atlantic city)When you use the " quick search: enter city"-button (top of this board) or Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins you can see the deals of other members.Read also the information on this board so you know the system of " free rebids" on PricelineWish you good luck(sorry for my bad English) Ruby Tuesday Link to comment

Not really a gambler- may peek in. Want more options to do things. Why do you ask about trump marina? I guess, not too far from the boardwalk. I can go for it- Link to comment
thereuare
The Trump Marina is on the marina, 'close' to the boardwalk if your driving (or i believe they still have the jitney busses) but not really walkable, nor would you want to walk thru some of the neighborhoods. I asked as this appears to be avaialble on HOTWIRE for ~$150/nite.If you're bidding 3.5* the likely outcome is the Sheraton which is not on the beach or the boardwalk. The Chelsea is a non-casino hotel and on the beach/boardwalk, going for about $200/nite thru HOTWIRE.So it depends what you're looking for as well as your budget, whether you go with one of the above to 'know' what you might get, spend the $200 for the 4* on HOTWIRE to be on the beach, or find the most acceptable of the above and roll the dice with PRICELINE to see if you can do better for any hotel in the zone at the minimum star rating you select.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. I haven't done this walk, so I'm not familiar with the neighborhood. Link to comment
bignick33
I have stayed there twice, and it's a good hotel in a fairly good location. You did well. The walk is four long blocks. Two of the blocks are through the Outlet Mall which you mention. Once you get past the mall (walking towards the boardwalk), you can continue on the sidewalk or enter Caesars or Bally's and continue your walk all the way to the Boardwalk inside the casinos. The Sheraton is near Ducktown, which is the traditionally Italian neighborhood of AC. I strongly recommend Angelo's Fairmont Tavern, which is about a three minute walk. I've heard that Angeloni's II and Dock's Oyester House are also very good; they're about 5-7 minutes away. Link to comment
dahammer
I strongly recommend Angelo's Fairmont Tavern, which is about a three minute walk.I will second that recommendation, a good red sauce Italian that's easy on the wallet. Also, you are close to the White House for world class subs/hoagies. Link to comment
