I used the PRICELINE link to bid on a 3* hotel in the Walt Disney Vicinity (WDV) for Friday night, the beginning of holiday weekend. With 3 free re-bid zones, I had 8 total bids available using the advanced free-rebidding or permutation method. I began bidding at $30 and increased $2 per free re-bid. I hit on the 7th re-bid at $42 (see details below).

I feel good about that price as the cheapest rate on the web (hotel or travel site) is $95. Hotwire had a hotel with what appeared to be matching amenities for $49 or $62.70 after taxes and fees.
