snobrotha
Taking my girlfriend for an anniversary getaway. Wanted a 3+star close to Easton mall for shopping.Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $64.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 2Room Subtotal: $128.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $29.91 (USD)Total Room Cost: $157.91 (USD)My bidding history was a little funky. Instead of staying on the screen, I would back out and start over each time I bid, each time keeping the CMH zone constant. During the process I started with a 4* bid at $40. It was rejected, and I backed out and tried it at $50, I repeated this in $10 increments til I reached $80 (my personal limit) and got rejected. Then I lowered it to a 3-star and did the process til I reached $50. At this point I got a notice saying "if you increase your bid by $14, you'll get the room." I thought, hmmm that's cheap for a 3 star, I wonder what I can get for a 3.5* and I got rejected for all of those bids (up to $70). At this point I knew I could get a 3* for $64 dollars, so I went in one last time and booked my room.I wonder if it was a glitch for me since I'm on a network at work. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! As i commented in your other post, i think your ability to bid multiple times without changing any paramters was a glitch, and i wouldn't expect it to continue.Glad you ultimately found success and are happy with the results... sounds like this will work well for your needs. jbean603
Thanks for the follow-up!I think this win was for Courtyard Airport, not Courtyard Easton. I noticed Courtyard Easton is listed on the Columbus (CMH Airport - Gahanna/Easton) list, however, I can't find a post of any win for Courtyard Easton. Link to comment
