diddiyo
Hi all :)I'm looking to book a room for four people. I almost booked a room directly thru the Treasure Island website but found out the price they're showing is only for two people, and there would be an additional charge of $30 per person/night.Are the prices on Hotwire for four people "total" or is there also an additional charge if there are more than two guests?I found these two hotels via HOTWIRE:I assume this is TI?05/14/09 - 05/17/09Four adults4* Central StripCasino, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Golf nearby, Spa$145 per room/night = $476.12 totalI assume this is MGM?05/14/09 - 05/17/09Four adults4* South StripCasino, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Internet, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa$113 per room/night = total price $374.88Thanks for your help, and of course I would use your HOTWIRE link :)Best,Stef Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy and guarantees sleeping accomodations for everyone you include your search. Are you searching above for 4adults?I would agree with both of your guesses... the Central Strip property is a match for the Treasure Island and the Central Strip property is a match for MGM Grand and that would be our best guess for each. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. diddiyo
Hi thereuare,HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy and guarantees sleeping accomodations for everyone you include your search. Are you searching above for 4adults?no I was looking for 4 adults (1 room) for 3 nights on the TI website. Then in the smallprint it said the price shown is only for 2 adults, and any additional person would be an extra $30 per night and person, a total of $180 in addition to the regular price. that's why I was wondering if the Hotwire prices are for four people total, or if there are also any hidden fees like on the hotel-website.Thanks for your help. thereuare
If you click this HOTWIRE link you'll see (in the area where you select the city and number of rooms that you want) that you can enter the number of adults/children... HOTWIRE guarantees accomodations for everyone you include on your search. So if you search for 4adults you'll be assured of sleeping accomodations for everyone in your group, which usually means 2 beds, but in some circumstances could be one bed plus a pull-out sofabed, rollaway bed, etc. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. flyp26
To follow up on diddiyo's question, I think what was being asked is if anyone has been charged an "extra person" fee for the third and fourth occupants of a room purchased through Hotwire, when the Hotwire purchase specified four occupants? It seems many Las Vegas hotels charge a per-person, per-night "extra person" fee for anyone beyond the second guest in a room, even when the room sleeps four. For a family of four, the extra person fee can add as much as $60-$70 to the daily room rate! The fine print on the Hotwire site indicates that hotels may charge their own fees (like resort fees) over an above the purchase made through Hotwire. Has anyone been charged "extra person" fees? Link to comment
thereuare
The rate paid to HOTWIRE is for the number of adults included on the search... if you search for quad occupancy there should be no additional charge for the 'extra' 2 people. If you need help with an upcoming stay please start a NEW TOPIC.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. travelAlot
One suggestion if tentatively making plans and having at least 3 people and obviously needing 2 beds:Book for 3 people as you're assured, especially the bigger Vegas 4-star properties, of getting 2 full-size beds. Then it's up to you to disclose teh 4th person at checkin (or not and save the extra cost via HOTWIRE). Link to comment
