lucyleo
Hi,This is my first time here and first time using HOTWIRE. There is a 4* hotel at Hotwire for 3/21-3/23 for $129 per night with the following amenities:Fitness centerRestaurantBusiness Center High Speed InternetAny idea which hotel(s) this could be? I would be fine with anything but the Drake, so I'm hoping to tip my odds by consulting you experts. Thanks so much for any help or input! Link to comment
lucyleo
Now it went up to $134. Does it usually go up as the time gets closer?I fortgot to mention, this is for 1 room with 2 adults and 2 kids, 6 and 8.Thanks for any input! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! This amenity combination matches multiple properties in this zone (you can see them all in the Hotwire Hotel List) and one of them is The Drake, so if you're trying to avoid this property, this would probably not be a good option for you.Would a hotel in the Mag Mile zone work for your needs? AaronJB
Curious as to why you would want to avoid the Drake, which has long been considered one of Chicago's nicer 4*'s. Link to comment
lucyleo
I just did it and got the Millenium Knickerbocker, which I don't know anything about - should I be bummed?? Link to comment
lucyleo
Never mind - I was nervous because I thought I remember hearing some negative things about the knickerbocker, but after reading reviews on tripadvisor.com, I'm relieved because they just had a major renovation and most of the negative review were from before the renovation.FYI- it looks like a lot of people got it through priceline for a lot less, in the $75 range, so anyone interested may want to try that first.I'm still happy, because I never even knew about HOTWIRE and PRICELINE and have been paying over $300 for 4* rooms in Chicago the last few years. history100
I was at the Knickerbocker in January and everything was fine. Everything seemed clean, quiet, and back to normal. I hope you have a great time! Link to comment
