Priceline Hotel: 3* Northern Virginia (Dulles South-Chantilly) Hyatt Place Dulles North

PRICELINE has 2 hotels listed as 3* for Sterling, VA at the same price. One is Holiday Inn and the other is Hyatt Dulles North. I'd prefer the Hyatt. Any tips on how to get that one? Thanks!

It sounds as if you're using the "retail" version of PRICELINE to determine what you might get thru bidding on PRICELINE, and this is not recommended, as the two arms of the PRICELINE service use a different pool of hotels (as well, the zone boundaries can differ). To answer your question above, you can't target any hotel in the zone when using PRICELINE. If you're trying to target, or avoid, a specific property HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can often identify (or exclude the possibility of a given hotel) based upon the amenities shown to be associated with the hotel being offered.

Thank you. I took a chance and ended up with the Hyatt Place Dulles North for $39. plus taxes and fees. We really like that hotel!
