Noela
Hi,I plan on renting a car from Buffalo Airport and driving it to Toronto, Canada between Feb 16 and 18. PRICELINE is quoting me $42/day, but wondering what bidding strategy would you suggest for a lower rate?thanks very much - Emmanuel Link to comment

Noela
Economy preferable, but nothing more than compact -- just basic.thanks - Noela Link to comment
thereuare
I'm assuming that is the "retail" rate thru PRICELINE?You don't have too much time between now and your rental so i'd start with $20, increase by $5 every 24 hours. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. dhammer53
For March 2 - 5 (using the link) HOTWIRE starts at $36. I can't believe rentals cost that much. I tried PRICELINE bidding yesterday at $17, and no luck. Buffalo is the last place in the world I expected cars to be expensive. My rule of thumb is that Priceline is at least 10% cheaper than Priceline... just can't bring myself to bid $30 a day.Back to the drawing board.
