Phaelon56
Last minute decision to stay overnight in Philly. Not sure if the boss will let me expense this one as it's only a two hour drive from home. Getting into Newark airport late the night before and don't feel like struggling wiht early AM rush traffic heading into downtown.Hotwire shows no availability at all for Center City or Waterfront zones. Lots of free rebids available for 4* in Philly (seven possible rebids). Started at $38 - no success. Jumped to $41 and then upwards in $2 increments and stopped at $47. This is strictly a bed to sleep in and nothing more.Restarted a new bid with 3* but there will be only 2 possible rebids available. Starting higher than I normally would due to previous bid results and lack of availability on HW. Bid 1 at $42 - success! As usual.... great savings thanks to this website and PL. Be sure to tuse the bidding link on this website as I did - support a great free resource!Your Offer Price: $42.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $42.00 Taxes: $5.18 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $53.13 Owen O'NeillVisit the Espresso Travel Guide :) Link to comment

Phaelon56
Yes.... COFFEE!!! I do want to check out La Colombe in Philly (gets raves from some and called grossly overrated by others). This visit didn't allow for frivolous or serious coffee research - I made do with a cup of Charbucks at the Hyatt, where the seminar was being held. I got to the hotel at 2:30 AM and had to be at a seminar by 8:30 the same morning. It was okay as a place to sleep but as Wyndhams go (I've stayed in many) it's a bit on the tired side. I'll post a review separately. Link to comment
