Lucas Leuzinger
Hi,today before lunch 11:45 EST I saw several 4* hotels for Washington Capitol Hill around 80$ and left the computer, then 2 hours later I couldn't find a single 4* or Capitol Hill hotel anymore...How do you explain that ? Is there a logic behind or any rule when and what hotels show up ?My dates are 01.19.2009 - 01.23.2009, 2 personsThanks for any thoughts and best wishes,Lucas Link to comment
powerplantop
Thanks for any thoughts and best wishes,LucasI just did a search for 4* in the DC are on Hotwire and came back with nothing. Off hand I can think of three reasons. 1: Booking glitch, if it is then they will show back up. 2: The rooms may simply have sold out. (More may show up latter).3: A big event was just anounced and the hotels pulled the cheap rates from the booking engine. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!today before lunch 11:45 EST I saw several 4* hotels for Washington Capitol Hill around 80$ and left the computer, then 2 hours later I couldn't find a single 4* or Capitol Hill hotel anymore...HOTWIRE will only show one hotel at each star level in each zone, so are you sure you saw multiple hotels at the 4* level in this one particular zone?Is it possible that you accidentally searched for different dates on the first search and your correct dates on the second search... not only don't i see 4* hotels (in any zone) listed for your complete date range, but even the lesser rated 4* hotels offered are much more than $80/nite.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Lucas Leuzinger
Well, it could be that I saw just one 4*, but this one's sure and for 86$. What I just realized is that these dates will be Presidential Inauguration and therefor probably all 4*s will be full ...Do you agree ?!Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
I don't know enough about inauguration day if all the hotels will be full (they very well may be) but rates will almost certainly be higher than usual and will make the possibility of winning a hotel at a low rate less likely. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
