Strangely, the taxes/fees on that Priceline bid ($60 subtotal for four days) would have been $36, which is $7.00 more than the taxes/fees on Hotwire. Add the Priceline fee, and the total Priceline bid would have only beaten this total price by $2.00. So I didn't bother bidding on Priceline for that small a difference. Link to comment

FWIW, I don't think you can save money on a car rental using priceline or hotwire. Go to Orbitz, and see the low rates -- you'll need one, given how much you're going to pay in taxes and fees!
