Hotwire Hotel: 2.5* Providence (Newport-Middletown-Jamestown) Holiday Inn Express

For two nights, 8/10- 8/12, 2 adults, my sister is looking to take a trip to Newport and is considering the following on hotwire, but can't figure out what hotels these might be.

3.5*, $149, Newport-Middletown-Jamestown, Amenities include: Smoke Free Rooms, Pool, Business, Golf, Firness, Restaurant, Hi Speed Internet.

or

2.5*, $106, Newport-Middletown-Jamestown, Amenities include: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Laundry, Fitness, Business, Hi Speed Internet.

Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

both properties show Tripadvisor ratings and based on these, the 3.5* could be the Hotel Viking as it offers smoke free rooms as well as all of the other listed amenities. The 2.5* could be the Holiday Inn Express, although there are a ton of B&B's and Inns in the Newport/Middletown. These are based on Tripadvisor ratings alone.

I think both of the above are pretty good guesses. Just to add a few comments, the Holiday Inn Express properties are often seen with the amenities above... the La Quinta brands are similar but i didn't see a La Quinta in this zone. The Viking has been reported to the board before (Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business) but the 'new' amenities above could have all easily been added to the listing as they're either new amenity icons (such as Smoke Free) or amenities that the hotel previously offered (Hi-Speed Internet) or not something the hotel needed to implement (Golf nearby)

I did not know there was a HIE in that zone. I am learning something new every day.

I have a feeling I will be the one buying this as my sis does not have a computer....

My sister decided to go for the 2.5* hotel and it was indeed the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown. She is very happy with it. She went through BB's HOTWIRE link as I requested.

To recap, this is what she got:

For two nights, 8/10- 8/12, 2 adults, 1 child, 2.5*, $109 a night

Newport-Middletown-Jamestown

Amenities include: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Laundry, Fitness, Business, Hi Speed Internet.
