notrub98
Thanks, Hammer! I called the Hyatt Place and they said they are about 25 minutes from Mohegan, which is too far for us, I believe. Any other suggestions welcome! Link to comment
dahammer
for which zone did you bid $75? How close do you want to be to to the Mohegan Sun? Are you familiar with PRICELINE rebid zones? What is your maximum bid? I have stayed at the Radisson in New London, its about 20 minutes away. Link to comment
notrub98
Yes, I am familiar with free rebids. I started with Norwich/Uncasville and then tried Groton, Ledyard, and Niantic, making my way up to my final bid of the night at $75. Ideally, I'd like to be in Uncasville or Norwich so that it is 10 minutes or less. I am willing to go as high as $90. I have to see if I have any more rebids. Link to comment
dahammer
Yes, you currently have a few more rebid zones at the 3* level: Stonington and North Saybrook. Groton is not a rebid zone as you could possibly get upgraded to a 4*. Weekend nights are difficult in bidding zones close to casinos like Vegas and Atlantic city as folks prefer to make donations on Fridays and Saturdays. :) I would use the other rebid zones up to your maximum bid.HOTWIRE has what appears to be the 2.5* Groton Inn and Suites for $73 with the following amenities: Suite, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Kitchenette, not sure how far this is from Mohegan. If you have time, check out the Submarine museum in Groton, its free and you can walk through a decommissioned sub. Link to comment
