sandc4e
I've tried everything possible - even going as high as $14 for an economy and $30 for Full Size for our trip in June.I'm guessing that it's too early to be bidding for a rental car right now.So, when should I start bidding. Thanks,Sheila Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! What does HOTWIRE show? What is the best rate available thru our Car Rate Checker? thereuare
If you have bid up to $30 for a fullsize, why not reserve the $30 rate thru HOTWIRE (which for car rentals usually has lower fees than PRICELINE) or thru the company offered thru the Car Checker since that is refundable too? I might end up with the Budget Full Size. Thanks for the help! Link to comment
thereuare
If you do choose to book direct, please note as per our support page that we're an affiliate of Budget, please use our link to begin your reservation. Most car rental reservations require no credit card to confirm, so i would at least book your best deal currently and then continue to try PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. By making a direct reservation now you protect yourself from any price increases, but if you get a better deal or the price goes down, you can take advantage of the lower price. sandc4e
I did do just that and booked the fullsize for $30.Hopefully, I'll be able to do a little better with PRICELINE.Thanks for all the advice.Sheila Link to comment
szymon
I assume you have a 3 day rental so at the $30/day Budget rate your total for the fullsize is about $130 with taxes. If you use the Alamo $15 off coupon from VacationOutlet.com you can get a fullsize for 3 days for $95.18 total - this also will give you 1 free additional driver. ($95 is equivalent to a $20 Priceline bid).Szymon Link to comment
sandc4e
Thanks for the info! Booked that one too! Link to comment
