Hotwire Hotel: any idea on 2 star hotel in garden city, ny zone

hi all.

I'm trying to get a room on 6/25 in garden city/uniondale area.

there is only one hotel which is 2 star with pool, tennis court amenities.

Anybody has a idea what hotel it would be?

I had to stay in this area about a year ago and the only 2 hotels that i'm familiar with are the Garden City hotel and the Wingate Inn.... both of which i think would be rated higher than 2 stars (and both have a business center!)

Have you considered bidding this area on Priceline at the 3* level?

If you'd like to try that let us know and we'll suggest recommended bidding levels.

thank you for your offer to help me on bidding. I'd love to try priceline, although I have no experience with it.

Basically, I want a room in Garden city, NY region on June 25 for one night. If only I knew what the 2 star hotel is, which is listed on hotwire site, I'd like to book one, looks like nobody has any idea.

Please advise me so that I can win a room over priceline.

This may be tough since the Wingate appears to be sold-out for your date... do you know if there is some special event in the area?

If you search Travelocity for a pool near Uniondale, the Day's Inn in Hicksville pops up as the most likely candidate (and few would give it a 2*...how about a 1/2*)
