dneblank
Posted rates were around $219 for each of the first two nights and $399 (!) for the third. Not a bad savings. The hotel is right on Americas Cup Avenue (basically Thames Street), on the harbor. We were going to stay in Narragansett for the 3 nights but saw the impending bad weather and on july 1, we put in the bid. We had two rooms for each of the nights. BTW, if you go, parking is $15/night at the hotel, and taxes total 13%. Link to comment

dneblank
Unfortunatly, since I didn't do the booking, a family member did, I dont' know the zone, but unless Newport is broken into other zones, I'd imagine this is it. Goat Island is a small island just off of Newport and has a few hotels, but I think that's just included in the title so Goat Island doesn't seem separate from everything else around Newport and the rest of Aquidneck Island.
