Dman
BTW, I just checked out of the Wyndham - it's a perfectly nice 3.5* place right in the center of Palm Springs. The rooms are fine, although the bathrooms are rather pedestrian, the pool is quite large, and the common areas are nice. I really don't understand the many negative reviews this place has gotten. I could see that if someone expected a true 4* place and paid in the $150+ range for their room, they might be unimpressed with the place - but for a 3* (Priceline) or 3.5* (Hotwire) rated place, at prices well under $100, it's a perfectly nice place. It's certainly a cut above your typical Holiday Inn or Courtyard, and the resort fee is still under $10 (it's $8 + 0.94 more tax), it's still often available at total costs of under $75/night on Hotwire and Priceline, and a quite nice place at those rates.
