mxl747
I also booked at the Best Western Sawgrass. $44 a night plus tax for Feb 23 - March 8. I would be interested to know how your stay is because the reviews of the hotel are mixed. Link to comment

gnc
Just as a follow-up to our stay, I replied to a Hotwire survey that the hotel did not rate 2.5* but was closer to 1 - 1.5* and added a number of detailed comments regarding the hotel and the amenities (no real complaints or horror stories, just the age and condition of the place). Hotwire's response was to lower the hotel's star rating and credit me with $75 "Hotdollars" against a future Hotwire transaction. I feel that this speaks highly of Hotwire's commitment to their clients. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to hear you were disappointed in the hotel but pleased to hear that you're happy with HOTWIRE's response. Can you confirm the new star rating (2 stars?) If you go to HOTWIRE and click the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page, has the star rating changed there as well? Thanks again. gnc
Confirmed that Hotwire has dropped the rating to 2*. Wasn't that disappointed with the hotel, it was reasonable value for the money - and it was the cheapest place available at any rating in the area for our dates. I just felt that the 2.5* rating was misleading since they had split off the newer wing of the hotel and rebadged it as a Holiday Inn Express. Link to comment
