TravelGuy
Just got this e-mail from Southwest:Beginning February 5, 2004, Southwest Airlines is introducing Online Checkin systemwide, which means you can get your boarding pass before you leave the house. All it takes is a Ticketless reservation, access to the Internet, and a printer. You can start checking in at 12:01 a.m. local time the day of travel. As always, boarding passes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you print your boarding pass, simply go through the Security Checkpoint to your Departure Gate.* Please note that you will not be able to check in at southwest.com® if you have multiple passengers on the same reservation.Should you need to change your reservation after you printyour boarding pass, go to the Travel Center at southwest.comand cancel your boarding pass. Then change your reservationand print a new boarding pass. If your travel includes connections, you must pick up your boarding pass for your connecting flight at the Departure Gate in your connecting city. Also, note that while Online Checkin means you miss the lines, it's still important to be on time as reservations and boarding passes are cancelled ten minutes prior to flight time if you are not in the gate area ready to board.Imagine going through checkin while you quietly sip coffeein your pajamas. Or spending those few extra minutes at theoffice instead of standing in line. Flying faster doesn'tget any better than this. For Online Checkin, please visit:( http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/ret...CheckinDoc.html )We hope to have you online and onboard real soon!Sincerely,Your Friends at Southwest Airlines Link to comment
