ezed
Have seen the recent successful bids for 4* (USE) at under $100 in Dec.. This is a great service. We need 2 rooms for 2 nites in mid-Jan. and wonder when the best time to bid; before or after New Years? Link to comment
thereuare
What are the actual dates of your stay?I assume USE is the only zone you want to bid at this point? (ie- you don't want to include USW?) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
ezed
Our dates are 11 & 12 Jan. We want to stay in USE only, and in 4*. I'm familiar with the re-bid zone strategy and will do it for the 4* USE, if you'll suggest the specifics. Thanks much. Link to comment
thereuare
I think under $100 may be difficult for these dates as a few of the hotels i've already looked at while researching rates are sold-out.With your three re-bid zones you can try bidding as follows:Select 4* USE...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USE and re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USE and re-bid zone3...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USE re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $100.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. ezed
Thanks much for the bidding strategy. I just tried starting at $70, with the 3 re-bid zones. Finished with last bid of $105 and all rejected.Guess I try again and raise my bids by $5 or $10 ? Link to comment

ezed
Thanks to this Forum, I finally got a decent price for our Jan. 2-nite stay. I used the recommended 3-rebid-zone strategy and started bidding at $65. I tried this 3 different days, increasing the start by $5 each time. The 3rd time, I started at $75 and , on the 2nd to last bid, I got an offer to add $22. I bid $115, instead of the planned $110, and it was accepted. The web rate for "quality room for seniors" is $178.Thanks again. Link to comment

KathyWdrf
Title says "USW" but thread says "USE."So, which zone is it? Union Square WEST or Union Square EAST? :) Link to comment
ezed
Sorry for the confusion. We did want to stay in USW and did bid that way. Also, we just got back from our stay at the JW Marriott (USW) and were very satisified and comfortable with our 2 rooms (1 couple each room). We recommend this hotel to all. Link to comment
