I bid $55 for 11/30/06 and was declined :)

I added an area (Santa Monica/Marina Del Rey) and rebid at $59. Then I was challanged by Priceline to raise my bid by$17 to $76. No thanks...

I will try again tomorrow....

So I couldn't just let it go -

I went back and added a different area (Beverly Hills) to the search and bid $63. Another declination! :)

Then they offered me another challenge + $17 again!!!! If you may recall, they JUST offered the room for $17 over my last bid of $59 ($76).

This is kinda funny...

I wonder if they charge more on weekdays due to more business clientele.... Perhaps weekends are slower for them.

I want the $59 rate too - wah!!! :)

That is a great price. I am hunting for a Los Angeles area hotel for 11/30/06 and may book this one. I called the hotel and found out there is a separate charge of $25 for parking per day. That is a lot.

Well, it's half what hotels in San Francisco charge.

On the weekend, you might be able to park on the street for free. I've done it. Just don't move your car for the night and don't keep anything in it. Barring that I believe nearby lots charge much less.

you received a counteroffer, many times this can be undercut by a few $$. At the 4* level, you have 15 rebid opportunities, so you can raise you bid by $2 or so.

Determined to get a good price on this hotel, I kept bidding - adding $2 each time.

I got it for $69 for Thursday, Nov 30th. 1 night. :)

Not bad at all....
