Not as much joy with Singapore 5* for 10/29-10/31.

• + East Coast $78 - Rejected.
  

The Conrad's best price on their Web site is SG$340 (US$214) per night.

Because this is a Sunday and a Monday night, am I better off splitting the bid into two?

I think the current Conrad rate goes only for weekend nights for the moment. Good luck!

These dates span a Sunday night and a Monday night, so I decided to split my bids and first try for the Sunday night.

Since it looked as though the Conrad was offering the weekday rate for a Sunday night, I decided to include the Monday night into my bid.

I'll try again in a few days. Perhaps I should try for a 4* instead? The trouble is, that severely reduces my rebid opportunities.

If bidding for 4star... I'd do so only for Marina City Hall area.. which should give you the Swissotel Stamford - all other areas are too risky in terms of 4star (I assume you know that :) ). But I doubt the Stamford goes for much less than the Conrad nowadays.. but you can try.

i am trying to bid for some days in Feb '07. could you pls explain why 4* in the other areas are risky? I can't see Orchard with any bad 4* but i have no experience with this region.....thanks for your help

The Meridien Orchard seems already quite run-down and the Elizabeth seems not to be worth the 4 PL stars, according to what I've read in some reviews.
