steve2006
Hello All,New to the forum as well as to the TOBB in general. I was looking at Hotwire and they have a 3* on North Strip for $105 avg night ($350) total. The amenties are Casino, Pool, Business Center, Golf/Tennis Nearby, Spa, Hi Speed Internet Access, Fitness Center, Restaurant. I think I have a fairly good idea of which place it is.Any ideas or thoughts about if this is a good deal or could a lower rate be found (preferably North Strip, but South Strip would be fine). At least 3*.TIA Link to comment
thereuare
This is a match for both the Flamingo and the Riviera so either of those would be our best guess, although if i had to choose i'd lean towards it being the Riviera. What is your maximum budget for these dates? (a "nice" 3* property usually goes for a bit more than $100/nite for weekend dates)Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
steve2006
Thanks for the help. My thought was it is the Riviera which I have stayed at before. The Flamingo would be great if that is what it is. I was hoping to stay right around the 105, but probably not more than 115-120 at the most. I would prefer to stay at the same place if possible. thereuare
If you're fine with either of those than i would take the HOTWIRE offer or try to beat it with priceline (if you're flexible enough to stay anywhere within the zone).Another option is to book the Sahara for $112/nite (no booking fee so just about the same as the above)... the advantage being that the Sahara is refundable up until 3 days before your check-in date.I don't think your budget is enough to get a 3 star on the 'main' part of the strip.Let us know what you decide to do or if we can be of further help. Writer
Another option is to book the Sahara for $112/nite (no booking fee so just about the same as the above)... the advantage being that the Sahara is refundable up until 3 days before your check-in date.I think booking the Sahara as a backup is a good idea so that you have a backup - and it is at the end of the Monorail. But frankly, $112 for the Sahara is steep. Last time I was there, the facilities were not that nice. Kinda run down. It's been a few years since I stayed there, so it may be better now. The casino used to have some $1 craps and blackjack, but it hasn't for a while. Based on my recollection of the two, I think the Riveria would be preferable, but it's been a while since I've been in there too. The Flamingo on the other hand, would be a great score. steve2006
I just wanted to thank you again for your help and provide an update. I ended up going with the Sahara (last weekend) which worked out fine. I ended up not trying to go with Priceline. Having the monorail right there at the hotel was a nice convenience. Link to comment
