dgoregon
$150 - We'll be seeing Elton John at Key Arena and prefer not to drive...any suggestions from anyone on taxis vs. walking vs. other options? I think the monorail is still down and probably won't be running when the concert is over anyway. Link to comment
WillTravel
There aren't any 4* hotels in easy walking distance of Key Arena. If you look at Hotwire's Downtown-Space Needle zone, you could likely get a 2*, 2.5*, or 3* hotel that is within 8 or 10 blocks. Link to comment
thereuare
Good opportunity to use our Priceline Seattle Map as well :)Based upon WillTravel's comment above, do you still want to bid for a 4*?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. dgoregon
OK- new approach- max bid $150 for downtown Seattle (no walking distance restrictions) - 4* or 5*. Thanks for stategy suggestions. Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 4* in Seattle you have eight re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Downtown....Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130.The above only goes up to $130 as i think you'll be successful before $150... if not we'll just revise the strategy for the next round of bidding.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. dgoregon
Thanks for the strategy. Used the entire strategy and all bids were rejected. I guess a revision is the next step. I'll wait for your reply. Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
I am surprised... rates are not high, but just realized this is a Saturday check-in, so that could potentially be the problem. In 24 hours try as follows:Select 4* Downtown....Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150.Any questions feel free to ask.Good luck and let us know how it goes. dgoregon
Is this a Priceline rule re. waiting 24 hours or strategy? Just curious and anxious :) Link to comment
thereuare
Priceline rule.... which is why you needed to add re-bid zones when bidding the above(see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained for further info) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

thereuare
Nice deal... glad to see it worked out well for you. (and at only an extra $5 over yesterday's bids)Thanks for the post and for using the priceline hotel links at SB to begin your bidding. As you may know, i often recommend the 'early bird half price lounge menu' at Brasa for anyone staying in this area... very good food with an interesting twist, and extremely reasonable during their half off hours :)Enjoy your stay.
