belle341
We are coming in for the 20th and will stay only one night and then again on the 23rd. Please help find a good rate as I have been looking and everything seems so pricey there....My first time in Chicago!! Thanks in advance!! Link to comment
AaronJB
20th looks particularly tough - Hotwire has a 3* Mag Mile/Wacker Drive $162 that appears to *possibly* be the Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart.23rd is much better - one particularly good deal on Hotwire is a 4* Loop hotel with the amenities boutique, fitness/restaurant for $114. That hotel is likely either the Burnham or Monaco. Link to comment
belle341
How do I find the one for the 23rd? Link to comment
AaronJB
Search on HOTWIRE.com for Chicago for 7/23 (check out 24th) for 2 people. One of the listings for Chicago should be a 4* in the Loop zone with the amenities boutique, fitness and restaurant. The price I'm seeing is $114, although the price you see may be slightly different. This would likely (not guaranteed, but likely) be either the Burnham or Monaco - either would be a very nice choice and a good deal for $114. nick5
I dont think you will get anything for the 20th but have you tried bidding priceline for the 23rd? *4 stars. You could try for 85 and might snag the Palmer, MP area. As to the 20th, you can try bidding priceline, but you might also might want to check out easyclicktravel (using links provided above) and then use the REVERSE easyclicktravel link to see what "off the record" rooms are coming up. If it says, available, then the booking will be a go. BUT if it says On Request, then EasyClickTravel will contact the hotel and see if they accept the booking. They will send you confirmation within 48 hours. Make sure you check the areas they are listing.. many of them are not near downtown chicago. For example "near Loop" could be near Ohare airport. Minutes from downtown Chicago could be 20 minutes. So be clear in what you are reading. Sorry for your first time to chicago, you hit such a busy dates for discounted rooms because there is not much out there when the town is so booked up! Cheryl Link to comment
betsybug
Belle - did you get a room? What is your price limit? Another good source for Chicago discounted rooms is hotrooms.com. But they are not nearly as cheap as PL or HW on a good day. Link to comment
