I'm thinking about buying the HW 4-star condo in Ka'anapali any thoughts on what it might be here are the details:

Cost is 146.00

Studio

Beachfront-Property is located on the beach.

Fully-equipped Kitchen

Daily Housekeeping

Air Conditioning

Children's Activity Program

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

24-hour Front Desk

Laundry Facilities

High-speed Internet Access

Tennis Nearby

Dates are November 30, 2006 - December 7, 2006

HW seems to think the retail of this Condo is $506.57. So would it still be the ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores (Formely an Aston property)? And if so...is this Walking Distance to Whaler's Village?

And is $146.00 a good price or should I look elsewhere? I also like Wailea.

This is a match for the ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores so that would be our best guess.

Doesn't seem like too much of a 'deal' as a quick look at Hotels.com (not my favorite place to look but it was convenient) shows this property for $157/nite (although when trying to proceed i get "sorry, this property is sold-out" :) ).

What are the prices of your other options?

Is Priceline usually better than Hotwire?

Thank you in advance.

The 4* is a match for the Diamond Hawaii Resort and Spa, the 3* (hotel, not condo) is a match for the ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas, not sure of the other 3*. These would be our best guesses for the above.

My guess on the 3* Condo in Lahaina is the Lahaina Shores Beach Resort. Things seem to match up that way.

In yours or anyone's opinion....is it better to stay at the ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores for $146 or is it better to do something like The Whaler for a little bit more?

Thank you again.

I can't comment as i've never been to Maui, but i do know that many 'fear' getting the Whaler when bidding on Resort class properties via Priceline (it's never been won yet, but appears in their 'retail' product). A recent posted just commented that the Whaler isn't that bad, so maybe the 'fear' is that it just isn't up to the standards of the other resorts in the area.
