Love the site. Small item> on Priceline, one of the geographic divisions under Washington, DC is Silver Spring (MD). I found no Silver Spring designation for Washington, DC on this site. I only found Silver Spring under Maryland- suburbs, and grouped with College Park, Maryland (on Priceline, Silver Spring & College Park are separate, and the latter is not found among the groups for Washington). I do understand that reporting of hotels depends on people winning beds sending in the info. And, by the way', it's Silver Spring, not Silver Springs. When I lived in the area a few years ago, lots of my mail gave my address as Silver Springs (I think that is the name of a town in Texas).

This is a recent zone change (and unbundling from College Park) by PRICELINE so we'll put it on the list to re-classify, although we're involved with an ongoing project which may prevent us from making this change immediately (as some of the data we're sorting is using the current zones)

Thanks for letting us know.

The Sheraton in Burlingame, CA (SFO zone on Priceline and Airport South/Burlingame zone on Hotwire) is now the Hilton San Francisco Airport Hotel. Priceline vacation package Sep 5-7 confirms the hotel is still rated 4 stars, however I cannot locate the hotel in the Hotwire vacation package to confirm star rating/amenties at the moment.

Heads up - PriceLine changed Mt. Vernon, WA options

Back in May 2009, northern Washington had 3 options (rebid zones): Burlington, Mount Vernon, and Anacortes. Looks like Priceline split Anacortes off from Burlington and Mount Vernon. Makes bidding a little challenging. Anacortes is now partnered with Oak Harbor.

Ideally, I'd like to be closer to Burlington. I'll have to re-read the strategy on how to bid on a "one zone" choice and review the hotel star ratings available on this fabulous site.

I've used this site and bidding on this area for several years now...quite the change (for me).

Just FYI

IMPORTANT - the Downtown Toronto zone has been split North / South along Queen Street into two (2) zones.

The South Zone is the Banking and Entertainment / Theatre district.

The North Zone is mostly the Bloor / Yorkville shopping district.

Good news is that it gives you two-bids for the Downtown area....the bad news is that it will take some getting used to after years of a single-zone for Downtown Toronto.
