I'm looking at getting married in Las Vegas on Fri. May 28, 2004..which happens to be the friday of Memorial Day weekend. Has anyone on here ever gotten married in Las Vegas or been to a wedding in Las Vegas? Is there anything I should know about Memorial Day weekend? I've never stayed in Vegas over this weekend. Wondering if bidding a hotel stay for the 27th-1st is a good risk for a wedding..thinking maybe not. Anyway any help at all would be wonderful :) Thanks!

Congratulations on your wedding.

Given the holiday weekend, expect it to be busy (but not terribly so... less likely to have a major convention over that time due to the holiday).

My advice as to using Priceline/Hotwire for this stay would have to do with what your alternate plan would be. If your budget is tight and if you don't use Priceline/Hotwire you'd end up staying at an off-strip hotel or an average 3* hotel, then i would use Priceline/Hotwire. If your budget is not that tight and you really want to stay some place nice but were going to use Priceline/Hotwire just for the sake of saving money, then i wouldn't do it.

I would also sooner lean towards Hotwire than Priceline... sure it'll cost you a few dollars more but you also have a great chance of knowing the property beforehand.
