Very nice win for this NYC property! Glad you are pleased with the result and are looking forward to your stay.

Resort fees are decided upon at the hotel level. Unfortunately, more and more properties in the NYC area are charging resort fees but they are seen more often at 4* properties with more amenities.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us update the New York City Hotwire Hotel List with this new HOTWIRE listing.

Please use the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.

Why is there no resort fee on the 3* hotels?

My guess is that at the higher star ratings there is less price sensitivity, as well as higher room rates which makes the resort fee less on a percentage basis.  It's easier to charge a $20 resort fee on a $200 room than it is to charge a $20 resort fee on a $100 room.

Unfortunately i think you're going to continue to see more and more hotels charge resort fees unless it becomes required (by law) that all mandatory fees are included in the price.

Have a great time in NYC... let me know if you have any specific NYC that i can assist with as i'm very familiar with the area.
