Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion.

For helping researching the 5 star hotel you're referring to please confirm the zone this hotel is located in (there are two 'Central Strip' properties... an east and a west) as well the amenities that are associated with this property when using the EASY VEIW tab of our BiddingHelper.com tool.

Also, how many rooms/adults/children do you need accommodations for?  Are you including this number in your search?

Thank you for your help.  When I book, I will book thru this website.  We are a family of 5.  My youngest son is small, so could fit on a small couch and the rest of us would need 2 queen size beds.  Is there anyway to know if the room will come with a couch?  Are there 5 star suite hotels, which may be bigger?  He could also fit on a blow up mattress if need be.

What are the actual dates of your stay or your plans not yet finalized if you will be checking on on 8/16 or 8/17?

What is your maximum budget? (per nite before fees/taxes)

Most of the higher end hotels in Las Vegas now charge more for anything more than double occupancy and/or charge more for rooms with 2 beds (vs. 1 bed).  There are a few routes you can go with this:

-using HOTWIRE to search for a room for 2adults/2children

-using PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE and choosing a room that shows a Bed Choice option (with one of those choices being a room that can accommodate all 5 of you)

I am seeing on HOTWIRE what appears to be The Palazzo which i think would be a good option as it's an oversized room (720 sq. ft) with a sunken living room area.  A room with 2 Queen beds can be had for $146/nite, and i'm sure your youngest will be comfortable on the L shaped couch.

Is this within your budget and of interest?

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

We plan on staying Sunday 8/18 thru Friday 8/23.  The Palazzo looks like a great option.  I have not made our flight reservations yet because I am still watching flight prices.  We are flying into Southern California, going to San Diego, then Grand Canyon and then to Vegas for 6 days.  I can't lock in until I have my plane reservations.  I check the flights everyday and will purchase when the price is right.  I would love to get the Palazzo for $200/night which seems possible.  Is the Palazzo a good place on the strip?  My husband said he definitely wants to stay on the strip.

I'm looking at 8/18-23 and seeing on HOTWIRE:

I just went onto your hotwire website and saw this, 5 star all suite hotel center strip and for 2 queens it's $119 night.  Resort fee was $255 for the 5 nights which is $51/night which seems like is the Palazzo.  I feel like I should book it.  We are almost 100% sure of dates and have a little wiggle room (can always get a nearby Marriott for a day of two if need be).  Is $119 a night for a suite hotel 5 star with 2 queen beds a good price?  Is there any possible way of the price going down?

For Aug 18-23 on HOTWIRE I'm seeing 2 Queens at $119:

5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $96.36
Free Parking
Resort
Suite
Casino
Smoke Free
Fitness
Pool
Restaurant
Business
Hi-Speed Internet
Spa
Blind Accessible
Deaf Accessible
Travel Accessible
Room Accessible
Bathroom Accessible
Handicapped Parking
Roll-in Shower
==> best guess for this one would indeed be The Palazzo

Could the rate go even lower, yes, but probably not by much... and given that you're within about $10 or so of the floor that we typically see for this property the odds would favor higher prices, not to mention that you also need the 2 Queen room to be offered (and not just the offer could disappear, but the room choice too).

The Palazzo really is a great property and i'm sure you will like it there (the oversized rooms are great and a relaxing treat when returning to your room to rest a bit).

I just booked the room from your site's hotwire button. Five nights, $119/night, 2 queen bed, Suite, free parking, on the strip. For the five nights total and after we pay the resort fee, we got the room for $200/night which I think is a great price.   Super Excited!!!!!!  and we got the

Congratulations on your success!

Nice to see you received a great deal and are excited and looking forward to your trip.

It most likely won't be an issue either way, but i'd prefer to 'play it safe' and only have 2-3 guests go to the check-in counter while one parent/child start to explore the hotel lobby, casino, stores, etc... no need to alert them to the fact that you're five guests in total.

Note that the mini-bar is based upon a sensor and it's sensitive... if you don't intend to buy anything from the mini-bar i'd stay clear of it (front desk will remove any erroneous charges, but easier if you're just not charged in the first place).  If you do need snacks there are two Walgreens just south of the hotel, prices are a bit higher than you're average drug store but definitely cheaper than the mini-bar.  Also, if looking for inexpensive meals or to feed the kids a snack between meals, further south on the strip (just before after Casino Royal and before The Linq, there is a McDonalds (makes for inexpensive and quick breakfast) as well as a Chipotle in the same location on the lower floor, as well as an In N Out Burger in the Linq promenade (near the High Roller Ferris Wheel).

Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase.

Enjoy your stay and if you have any questions about Vegas feel free to ask.
