I am planning a getaway to NYC and looking for a 3.5 or 4* ideally in midtown and would like to be around $160/per night(fingers crossed). Do you think that rate would be possible that time of year and how you recommend I start the bidding process? Link to comment

Unfortunately, I think at the 4* level in a number of Midtown zones you're probably looking at more towards the $180-195 range (or higher in some zones.) September is traditionally a pretty busy month in NYC. thereuare Posted August 24, 2018 Report Share Posted August 24, 2018 At current rates i don't think that $160 is going to be enough, so i would suggest a strategy that includes all of those zones and hope that there is a hotel that accepts your bid. One 'known' caveat to be aware of though is that in the Central Park South zone is the 4* Hudson New York, Central Park which has notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards)... would this be an acceptable outcome?
