TQ72
The 4* Hotwire Hotel ($110) has the following amenities: Business center, Fitness center, Golf nearby, Indoor pool(s), Internet access, Pet friendly, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Smoke-free So just from previous posts looks like it might be the Hyatt Centric(?), although I now see another 4* in same area for 139/night. But just wondering if anyone knows what the 4.5* Priceline hotel ($140) might be which has the following : Free Internet, Bed Choice, Business Center, Fitness Center, Non Smoking, Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Swimming Pool Just wondering if the extra $30 might be worth it. AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. I'm seeing for Friday night/checkout Saturday: on HOTWIRE: 4* HOTWIRE Magnificent Mile - Water Tower for $110.00 Pet Friendly Indoor Pool Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf ==> Best guess would be the Sheraton 4* HOTWIRE Magnificent Mile - Water Tower for $139.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Best guess would be the Ambassador, which until recently was the Public Chicago. on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4.5* Magnificent Mile -Gold Coast (<<---CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $140 Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool >>>Best guess would be the Hyatt Centric Mag Mile (on St Clair.) I'd rather the potential Hyatt than the potential Ambassador and I think the Hyatt is a moderately nicer hotel than the Sheraton. TQ72
Cheers AaronJB for geting back to me so quickly. Just wondering what you think the following hotel might be for $129 - 4* Theater District - Loop on Hotwire Boutique hotel Business center Fitness center Golf nearby Internet access Pet friendly Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
To confirm, this is just for one nite, 7/13? If so, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: 4* HOTWIRE Theater District - Loop for $129.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> if this is what you're seeing, from the Hotwire Hotel List this matches previous reports for the W Chicago - City Center and would be my best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. TQ72
Correct it is for 1 night only and I'm only now finalising the night. Just noticed, using your bidding helper tool, a 104/night 4.5* in Mag Mile area, but wondering if this might be the Westin (Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Spa, Childrens Activities, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly). Because if it is, when I searched the reviews on TripAdvisor, there is an option to book this hotel for a straight 124/night, which would end up cheaper than booking through HW and PL. I suppose if I'm looking for best option, then booking directly for that price would be decent if the Westin is a respectable hotel. I'd hate to choose the HW 104/night and then end up paying more than I could actually get it elsewhere. Link to comment
AaronJB
Not seeing a 4.5* for $104 when searching for Friday night - are you still seeing this listing? If so, are you searching for 2 adults? I"m not seeing either of the two Westins for $124 for Friday night. Regular rate that I'm seeing for Westin Michigan Ave is $199. Westin River North is $259. I'm seeing on HOTWIRE: 4* HOTWIRE Theater District - Loop for $76.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> Best guess would be the W City Center. It's not the most convenient location from a tourist perspective, but it's a nice boutique hotel that was renovated 2-3 years ago. If you're just looking for a place to sleep for one night, $76 for a 4* in Chicago in the middle of Summer is an awfully good/unusually good deal. 4.5* HOTWIRE Magnificent Mile - Water Tower for $127.00 Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Childrens Activities Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> Best guess would be the Westin Michigan Ave, which has been seen with this amenity set previously. I'm very familiar with Chicago - if the above options are not of interest, then let us know why and we can then know what not to look for when researching. TQ72
Hi Guys, I'm actually looking to book in again to Chicago this coming Thursday, the 19th, but this time it will be with 2 kids. So I was just wondering how reliable it is to use the service when we definitely need the 2 double beds. I used your helper and got two 4 * choices in the Mag Mile area on HW for 122/night and one for 161/night. The best guess for the 161 is the Ambassador and there are a few choices for the 122/night. So just wondering if you have an idea what that hotel might be but more importantly whether it's reliable to use HW to ensure that we get at least 2 double beds for us on Thursday? Thanks. AaronJB
Please start a new thread for the Thursday stay and we would be happy to help. Let us know desired budget per night, star rating and acceptable zones and we would be happy to research the above listings. Searching for 2 adults and 2 children on HOTWIRE should result in bedding for the entire party - 2 beds, 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofabed. Would any of those possibilities be acceptable?
