Looking for help with bidding or choosing a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 1 night NYC stay. We will are young family (2 kids under 5) travelling with grandparents so we need 2 rooms. Budget $200-$250/room.  Is Times Sq the easiest locale to stay for 1 night? We are planning to visiting Amer Museum NH all day 6/26 before leave the city but it looks like hotels close by are very pricey.

Looking for good hotel (4*+? or is 3*+ considered good in NYC?) No amenities needed, but would be helpful to be able to have 1 room w/ 2 double or queen beds.

TIA

There are plenty of options within your desired budget for these dates, but I would suggest looking on HOTWIRE where you can indicate the amount of people in the party, which should ensure some form of bedding for the entire party (vs PRICELINE EXPRESS, where rooms are double occupancy - this is particularly true in NYC.)

I'm seeing on HOTWIRE when searching for one room w/2 adults and 2 children and another room with 2 adults:

3.5* HOTWIRE Madison Square Garden for $181.00
Complimentary Breakfast
Free Internet
Pet Friendly
Smoke Free
Fitness
Business
Laundry
Hi-Speed Internet
Kitchenette
==>  Best guess would be the Homewood Suites Times Square. If the Homewood, family friendly hotel in a good location with the added value of free breakfast for everyone.

I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm that the correct date is showing and # of rooms after clicking the link below.)

3.5* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area for $175
Free Breakfast
Pets Allowed
Fitness Center
Business Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
Free Internet
>>>Best guess would be the Homewood Suites here as well. With a 9+ rating the underlying hotel gets very good reviews. However, if you go this route I would call the hotel to ask about bedding/room assignment (and the hotel may or may not take room assignment requests for discounted reservations.)

Would the option of the potential Homewood Suites be of interest?

Just to add to the above, the Homewood Suites Times Square would be a very easy and direct (no transfer needed) subway ride on the C train from Penn Station to the American Museum of Natural History.
