Priceline Hotel: 4* London (Notting Hill - Paddington Station Area) Thistle Hyde Park

Just scored the Thistle Hyde Park for 120 bucks, which is OK. 

 

I tried to book through the webpage, but for whatever reason Pricline did not accept my credit card (German) and on the website you can not pay by PayPal (for whatever reason). Tried the app and it worked by paying through PayPal - but in that case the promo code does not work... Anybody had that topic before?

I can't say why your credit card may have had issues getting approved, but in the future i would first try calling your credit card company to see if they are perhaps rejecting the charge for some reason (yes, i understand you were able to successfully use the same card shortly thereafter, but it could have been something with the way the request was coming thru via PRICELINE)
