Please start by following-up your previous Orlando hotwire hotel thread with whatever you ultimately decided to do for that trip.

 

For NYC, what aspects of the hotel (location, star rating, quality, price, etc) are important to you for this trip?  For instance, i see:

 

4.5* Grand Central Terminal - UN (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $183/nite which is only about $15/nite more than the one above but is substantially higher rated and gets better reviews:
Pets Allowed
Business Center
Restaurant
Free Internet
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> best guess for this one be the Even Hotel New York - Midtown East which gets excellent reviews.  It is a little bit far east, but it's a closer walk to Grand Central Station from this property than it would to walk from 36 Hudson to its nearest subway station

 

Your thoughts / comments on this one (vs. the previous one)?

The Even seems perfect but the price isn't too good. I can pay just a little extra through Booking and get a partial refund just in case of cancelation.

I would like to be in Manhattan and would not like to go over $180.

So back to the task at hand of finding you a hotel that works for your needs...
