theairstrange
I bought tix to a show in Madison for Sat. 4/22/06. When I bid on a 3* Downtown for $50, I thought it would be no problem to get accepted. When it was rejected, I did some research and found out that the Midwest Horse Fair is that same weekend in Madison, and last year they had over 54,000 attendees!!!! Is it a lost cause to try to get a good deal on Priceline for this weekend? Thanks for any advice you can give. Link to comment
thereuare
Which Madison zone(s) did you bid? What is your maximum bid? How much will a non-opaque room cost? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
theairstrange
I started with just Madison Downtown for $45 for a 3 star. That was rejected, so I added Madison South and went up to $50. When that was rejected, I started looking and found out about the Horse Fair...and panicked! So now I am back to square one. I really didn't want to go more than $50 -60. Do you think I could get a 3 star for this in one of the other zones (Madison East or West)? I found the Radisson listed for $91, which would be in the West zone. The Sheraton Downtown is going for $143. Link to comment

theairstrange
Well, I decided to try Priceline again to see if I could get something in one of the other zones. Happy to report I got the Radisson in the West Zone, 3*, for $50 on my first bid. I would have liked to be closer to the Downtown area, but this looks like a nice hotel and I stayed within my budget. Thanks to everyone who replied to my post! Link to comment
