Hotwire Hotel: 3* Chicago (River North) Acme Hotel Company Chicago

Got the ACME Hotel in Chicago.  Not happy about it.  Hotwire said it was 95% recommended and "The last person got the Hampton Inn & Suites!".  Did all my research, and all signs pointed to Hampton.  Instead I got this place that's decorated like a dorm room - big handprints on the wall and kissy lips on the bathroom mirror.  These boutique hotels try so hard to be quirky.  Not the best space for a stressful professional trip where I wanted to come home to a simple, serene, normal hotel room.  ACME wasn't on any of the hotel lists I checked - here on BB or elsewhere.

The property does get excellent reviews on tripadvisor with a 4.5/5 and the location in River North couldn't be better. Hopefully the hotel will be a pleasant surprise and exceed expectations. I'd be happy to answer any Chicago questions.

For the future, note that the "Last person received ___" information shown by HOTWIRE is relative to the last person who bought a hotel of this star rating in the zone, not necessarily in relation to the underlying hotel currently being offered.
