Do all the Las Vegas hotels (in strip and convention area) charge a resort fee? The resort fees will be the same regardless of how the hotel is booked (through express deals or regular booking)?

You help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

All of the Las Vegas hotels on the strip now charge a resort fee, which is the same regardless of how the hotel is booked.

Is there something in particular that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip (casino, other amenities, location, etc) and what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes)?  Have you ever been to Las Vegas before?

I don't have a set budget per se, but I'd like to save some money if I can. :)

I have been to Las Vegas before but that was three years ago. I'm ideally looking to stay as close to strip as I can, and yes I'd like the property with a casino. I am going to be in Vegas from 12/29/2017 - 1/3/2018. I did some calculations and found that if I choose a same hotel for these dates, I am getting a really higher rate, but if I choose a different hotel for 1/1 through 1/3, I am saving quite a lot. I know the cost for 12/29 - 12/31 would be higher for any hotel I choose, but at the end I'd be saving money when choosing two different hotels for two different sets of dates.

I would appreciate if you could provide some lead on the above mentioned listings.

Thanks.

Did you book something different on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, or something else? If HOTWIRE/PRICELINE, can you confirm the details of what you did purchase? If not HOTWIRE/PRICELINE, sharing what you did decide is greatly appreciated as the information helps others researching. Thank you.

Hi Aaron,

I purchase Luxor Resort and Casino for $102/night via HOTWIRE. Dates of stay were December 29, 2017 - January 1, 2018

I stayed in Vegas until January 3rd but Prices for this reservation came up a lot more when I added January 2nd and January 3rd. This was causing a much higher average rate per day. This is why I booked Linq Hotel and Casino from January 1 - January 3rd at $42/night. I liked Linq a lot better.

By just breaking down the whole trip in two hotels, I think I saved about $300-$400.

Please help others by concluding your threads with what you did do for the trip... not just what you didn't do.  Think in terms of another user who is also going to Vegas, would they be better served knowing that you didn't book any of the previous hotels researched OR knowing the details of the HOTWIRE hotel that you DID ultimately book?  As well, we can now edit the topic title of this thread to reflect your hotwire purchase for 12/29-1/1 and these details will appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins, helping others who are doing research for year-over-year comparisons. (it's not clear if your Linq purchase was also thru HOTWIRE... if so, please post that win as a NEW TOPIC, if not, please use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases)

Hope you enjoyed your stay(s).
