does this hotel really need a review? :)

well i'll mention that the front desk was very courteous, and there was no mention of Priceline at all.

they discreetly said that our reservation was prepaid.

we had planned to ask for an upgrade to Strip view, but then forgot about it after walking into the lobby and just being in awe of how nice it was. so we never got to test out whether they upgrade Priceline customers or not. we weren't planning on using the $20 trick.

hotel room elevator banks are manned by uniformed security who will ask to see you room key before you are allowed in. (we didn't see that when we stayed at the MGM Grand. guess that's just another difference between 4* and 5* hotels. heh.)

there is a food court (we were surprised), and a decent priced casual restaurant that's owned/operated by the company that runs the Cheesecake Factory. btw, they sell Krispy Kreme donuts at the food court.

the in-room fax/printer is a great amenity (only 25cents per page), as we happened to need to print out a certificate for our upcoming stay at another hotel the next night. unfortunately, the printer was out of ink when we finally got around to printing it at 3am the night before check-out. they have technical guys on staff 24-7 of course (5* hotel) and sent someone up to install the new print cartridge.

there were broken light switches, and burnt out light bulbs in the room. but we didn't care.

they don't have too many outlets in the bedroom/living room for plugging in your electronics though. we used the ones in the bathroom.

the Venetian rooms have the nicest bathrooms i've ever seen. oh how i wish my own bathroom at home looked like that.

anyway, we'd be crazy not to go back. i'm already planning to start randomly bidding for the Venetian for upcoming dates.

i've left out a bunch of stuff, but there's really not much that needs to be said about the Venetian.

This was an excellent choice for a hotel, and we just loved it. Check-in was at 3pm but we got there around 2pm. The wait for minimal, and the desk agent was very helpful. We were all set to try the $20 trick but then I mentioned this was a special trip and whether we could get an upgrade. He offered us a strip view room at the Venetian, or a room on the 11th floor of the Venezia tower (which is actually the 22nd floor since the tower's lobby is situated atop the garage which is till the 10th floor. We chose the Venezia tower and it was wonderful. I had comments about the long walks to the rooms, but this was not bad. Any big hotel will have a long walk to the room, and if the room is anything like the one we stayed in, then why not? Absolutely beautiful, very big, beautiful furnishings and the bathroom was just gorgeous.

The staff was very friendly. The desk agent came around and carried the suitcase to the bellhop. The bellhop was very helpful and talked about the attractions of LV then entire way up. Housekeeping was efficient, and everytime we got back to the room (at all times of the day) it was already cleaned. Security made sure everyone had their keys, concierge was knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered room service once and even though they said it would take 40 mins, it was there within 15 mins. We had purchased the room via Hotwire but it was just wonderful and this was a great experience.

The lobby was wonderful, we were taking pics of the fountain and someone was works there (I think he was a manager) walked up to us and offered to take a pic of the two of us which was a nice gesture. The casino was nice but I loved the coffee they served at the food court there. The prices were also very reasonable.

Not sure what the reference to the $20 dollar tip is, but our stay was fabulous. I personally would have felt a little awkward trying to slip the reservation guy some cash, as the place was PACKED with people and employees and I don't see how it could be done discreetly. ANYWAY, We asked to stay in the Venezia tower as well and were given a FABULOUS room overlooking the pool. No mention of our purchase on EasyClickTravel through this website. The hotel was sold out and very busy. We were amazed by this place. Walking into our room was such an experience! We felt like kids in a candy store. Kept saying 'HOLY COW (or another adult word), can you believe this place???' There are just very few words to describe what you feel when you first see a hotel room of this caliber. If you are a 'normal' person, this will most likely be the MOST amazing hotel room you will have ever stayed in! Just the amount of money that has gone into buiding this hotel. Truly this is a hotel of which you can say 'Only in Vegas'. The murals on the ceiling, the food court with the clouds painted on the ceiling. Amazing. We ate at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant. Spent about 300 bucks(4 people), but it was among one of the best meals we have EVER had. Impeccable service, food and menu. Worth every cent, especially if you want to splurge and treat yourself! Close to the huge shopping center, Model something or other and right next to the new Wynn hotel. The Venetian is right up there with the Bellagio and the Wynn. Gaudy and Gorgeous. The old strip hotels can simply not compete with this new breed of Vegas hotels! If you can, spend the extra money, and get a room at the Venetian through Priceline or EasyClickTravel Travel through this site. So worth the experience.

we stayed here last july - 19th - 21st - paid $99 on priceline

the rooms are amazing

we were upgraded to the venetzia tower - i just asked the check in girl - she said it was extra - we also asked for rooms with two beds - that was also extra - but as she had trouble locating two rooms near each other and we had to wait a few moments she waived the extra charges - NICE.

we were two adults and two children so one room would have been fine - we had sooo much space with the two suites - not rooms.

the hotel is huge but so plush - we didn't really gamble (a few slots) - as we had the children with us

we ate breakfast in the coffee type shop - the name escapes me - it was okay but not well organised

it was busy, busy, busy but what an experience - the hotel really is a destination in itself

I stayed at this property from April 5-9, 2009 and all I can say is it is amazing. I originally was put in the Venetian Tower & the room was very nice with modern furnishings. Especially loved the television in the bathroom. I did however as for an upgrade to the Venzia tower and was given a lovely room in this new tower for no additional fee.

This room was much closer to the garden pool and had it's own check in lobby. I loved how this tower did not require you to walk through the casino as I had my 2 children with me.

The room were very large with a king bed and sofabed. There was a seperate sitting area with a view of the garden pools.

Every request I made was promptly honored, newspaper delivered to my room at 7am each day, extra bath products and the nightly turn down service was great as were the chocolates left on our pillows.

Pools were wonderful and we were given a cabana to use for free as they had no more pool lounges available. What a treat.

I can not say anything bad about the hotel definately 5 star treatment and for only 95 dollars a night were were most pleased withour stay.
