pfern
Hello, I am new to the forum and need help with a starting bid for a 3.5 or 4* in downtown Denver on 9/1-9/3 for 2 rooms (I realize it is a bit late notice)... Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. Please confirm your desired budget per night as well as which zones would be acceptable and we would be happy to offer suggestions on how to proceed. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. pfern
Ideally I would not like to spend no more than $110/night, and Downtown Denver would be my preferred zone (though Cherry Creek would work too) Link to comment

Update: I noticed the 4* on express deals was listed for $142, how much lower should I aim for a similar 4* on first bid? Link to comment
AaronJB
My guess is that $115-130 is what it will take for a 4*. Re-bidding is discussed here: re-bidding. It is important that you ask any questions on re-bidding strategy before bidding. On PRICELINE EXPRESS, I'm seeing: (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4* Downtown Denver for $142 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Guess would be the Marriott City Center. You can also get 5% off using the promotion in my signature, which brings the per night down to around $135. What is showing on the PRICELINE EXPRESS side is not necessarily what you will win on the bidding side. Please keep us updated and definitely let us know if you have any questions before bidding.
