So I have decided Central Wilmington near the river and Front St or Wrighstville Beach.  But I don't see Central Wilmington area listed among the hotel list that have previously won bids.  What does that mean about hotels in that area?    I see a couple listed in the hotwire deals but I don't know how to match them up.

 

2.5* Hotwire Central ---> 159

3.5* Hotwire Central---> 199

3* Hotwire Central---> 209

 

I am most particular about the rating and location of the hotel and not necessarily the amenities.  What would you recommend: bidding or a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal/hotdeals?

 

The prices seem to be higher than last week. Is there a chance they will go back down closer to the booking date?

There is no way to know - rates can go lower, but they can just as easily go even higher.

 

If you are particular about rating and location, then I wouldn't bid as bidding requires you to be willing to accept any hotel at the star rating picked in the zone/s chosen. PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE would be better options. 

 

If you don't see a zone listed on the Priceline Hotel List then no one has reported a win in that zone, but we can still try to help research and guess anything offered for your dates.

Final Decision: 

 

Used HOTWIRE Hot Rate hotels for Central Wilmington 2.5*

 and I ended up with $155 a night for a double queen room at BEST WESTERN PLUS Coastline Inn. 

 

Overall it was a great deal for the weekend! Thank you so much for all the help!
