kelleek
I have my suspicion, but would like to see if you agree. Hotwire 4* Loop-Millennium Park, $77 6/17-6/19 80% recommended Boutique hotel, Business center, Fitness center, Golf nearby, Internet access, Pet friendly! Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, smoke-free rooms Link to comment
ArtfulDodger
That will probably be the Palmer House. Personally I would never do anything below 90% approval on Hotwire although that is a good price for June dates. Link to comment
AaronJB
4* Loop - Millennium Park for $78.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> I'll guess this is the W City Center. If so, very nice hotel but keep in mind that the West portion of the Loop can be quiet at nights/on weekends. If you are looking to be on Michigan Ave, keep in mind the potential costs of cabs/public transit getting to/from. Are you looking for something in particular in terms of hotel? Let us know more about what you are looking for (acceptable zones/desired budget, etc) and we would be happy to research/make suggestions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. kelleek
Yes! It was the W - I would not have considered that a boutique, but ok! I am actually quite pleased with this. For us it was about price, everything else was over $100 a night. We will be seeing Metallica at Soldier Field, so it's not too far from there. We go to the city often enough and are fine with walking/uber and don't need to stay on Michigan Avenue. Plus, we have status with Starwood, so I am hoping that might help us got an upgraded room. Doubtful, but we shall see. Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success. I think that's a remarkable price for that property or for Chicago in the Summer in general - it's showing for $194 a night for these dates on Expedia. That property got a very significant overhaul a few years back, although I thought it was a very nice W before the revamp. If you're going for a concert at Soldier Field, this is a great (and again, surprisingly reasonable for Chicago in June) result. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchases and for letting us know about the change in amenity set for this HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List Enjoy your stay - and have fun at the concert! kelleek
Thanks again! I would have loved this kind of win for Lollapalooza, so it's great as far as I am concerned. \m/ Link to comment
