1.As you said westin on magnificient mile $735.96 for the stay

2.4 star hotel on magnificient mile on hot wire with free internet,business centre,fitness centre,gold nearby,pet friendly,restaurant,smoke free rooms,

95% recommended Amazing! (422 reviews) tripadvisor (2001+ reviews)-My guess is hyatt centric-$824.62 for the stay

3.Bids for priceline not getting accepted for 5 or 4.5 star for around $675-Should i bid for more??

 

My dates are 28 Sept to 2nd Oct 2017.Also I have an infant with me so would need the best accessibility.

The PRICELINE EXPRESS offer above at $151/nite comes to $707 all-in when using the BB discount in my signature... so you have to decide if it's worth an extra $30 over the course of the stay for the property guessed above compared to what you have already bid (which isn't enough at this time) OR if you want to continue to bid higher for any hotel in the zone at the star rating or higher... or if the guessed Hyatt Centric is worth the additional cost.

 

I'll leave it to AaronJB to comment further in regards to which is a better value in terms of price vs. location as he knows this area best.

With the coupon, this is more than $100 less than the other option and the difference in location between the Hyatt and the Westin is really not that significant.

It really also depends on what you are looking for in terms of where you want to be in the city - if you are focused on Michigan Ave and the surrounding area, then you can't get more of a "Michigan Ave" location than the potential Westin.

Hey thanks for the feedback.

This is my first trip to Chicago with my wife and my infant.We will be doing some sightseeing and may even visit the outlet mall for some shopping and easy access to the airport.My requirement is easy access to public transport from the hotel and nearby Indian restaurants as we are vegetarians and my wife is lactating mother.Nice area to stroll around near the hotel in the evening like shops,restaurants and the beach.Hope you can guide me on this now.

I'd still probably go with the potential Westin. Highly convenient location (Water Tower Mall a block away, Hancock Observatory next door, easy cab or bus ride to Lincoln Park Zoo) and would be even better deal with coupon code.

 

In terms of the larger outlet malls further out (like the one in Aurora), you do need a car. If you do want to head out to these areas, sales tax outside the county is lower. Aurora is 8.25% vs 10.25% in the city. There's also the outlet in Rosemont (http://www.fashionoutletsofchicago.com/) not that far from the airport, but sales tax in Rosemont is 10.25%.

Guys any idea of this property on priceline mentioned by aronjb.It seems like sheraton to me Any confirmation on the same.If correct I would like to go ahead an book the city view room in it as westin does not have the room selection option.

HOTWIRE has come out with a new option for a 4 star hotel in the magnificient mile are and its selling it at 623 usd for the stay.Any guess which it is I think its cambria suites but not sure of the same.Room categories are an additional clue for my guess.Dates are 28 sept to 2nd oct.
