Jay&Bobbi
Looking for recommendations for 3*+ hotel for one night (6/16), as close to 70th St & Broadway as possible. Would like to stay under $160 if possible. If nothing near that location at that price, then a hotel close to the 1/2/3 subway may be an option. Link to comment
thereuare
If/when you win a hotel please us the ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN button on the top right corner of this page (only viewable by the OP) as this will give you a form to use to edit the topic title and to add a new post with the details of your win. This also automatically creates a link to your win in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins and Priceline Maps. Some options that may be of interest: 4* Upper West Side for $138.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet ==> best guess here would be the NYLO New York City (which assuming correct, would be just 7 blocks from your desired location) although note this property does charge a ~$28 resort fee 3.5* Upper West Side for $126.00 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Business Hi-Speed Internet ==> Hotel Belleclaire would be my best guess (again, just 7 blocks from your ideal location) There is also this PRICELINE EXPRESS (confirm your dates on the landing page of the provided link): 4* Upper West Side for $152 Pets Allowed Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess would be the Empire Hotel which would also be about 7 1/2 blocks from your location but more south (so a bit more convenient to other areas of the city if you intend to do other things this trip besides your event at 70th and Broadway) I assume one of these will work for your needs? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. Jay&Bobbi
Thanks for the recommendations. The Belleclaire or Empire may work; I just can't bring myself to pay the ridiculous "resort fee". 7 blocks isn't bad, esp. in NYC, where "streets" are fairly close to each other ("avenues" not so much). We'll be making a decision in the next couple of weeks and will update the post at that time. Link to comment
Jay&Bobbi
When I used the PRICELINE EXPRESS link provided, the dates shown are July 16 - July 17; should be June 16 - June 17. When I tried those dates, the only 4* Upper West Side hotel changed to $206, not $152 :-( Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry about that, i did indeed search for the wrong dates, so scratch all of the offers above. However: 56 minutes ago, Jay&Bobbi said: We'll be making a decision in the next couple of weeks and will update the post at that time. ... are you not looking to book at this point in time, as the hotels and prices currently offered may not be the ones that are available in a couple of weeks once you are ready to book. Please reply to this thread once you're ready to move forward and commit to a hotel for this trip and we will have a look at whatever is offered at that time that meets your criteria. Jay&Bobbi
Makes sense. We have to work out a few details before we're ready to book. I'll repost as soon as we're ready. (BTW, I think you're missing a letter on your reply..."EXLUSIVELY at BetterBidding:") ;-) Link to comment

Jay&Bobbi
Please help to ID the following: 3.5* Central Park South - 6/16-6/17 - $152 "New To Hotwire" 70% recommended Amenities: Free Internet, Restaurant(s), Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking Link to comment
thereuare
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: 3.5* Central Park South for $147.00 Free Internet RestaurantHi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> if this is what you're seeing best guess here would be The Watson Hotel Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. AaronJB
4.5* Times Square South for $119.00 Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa ==> A guess would be the Hyatt Times Square. Jay&Bobbi
Mainly due to it's location, we decided to book the "Days Hotel Broadway" on 94th St & B'way. I did use your HOTWIRE link to make the reservation. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for closing this thread with your decision and thank you for using the board HOTWIRE link for your purchase. To confirm, was this a 'regular' rate thru HOTWIRE where you know the name of the hotel prior to your purchase... or was it an 'opaque' deal thru HOTWIRE where you didn't learn the name of the hotel until after you bought it? If the latter, can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the star rating, room rate per nite (before taxes/fees), and the amenities that were associated with the property and showed prior to your purchase (including any accessible amenities)... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT >> MY TRIPS link near the top right of their home page. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Jay&Bobbi
This was a "regular" rate of $127. Link to comment
