Not really...

If you take the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer and the extra BB exclusive discount, the room rate after fees/taxes (but excluding resort fee) comes to $252/nite vs.a regular rate booking comes to $321... so about $70 total savings, which isn't too bad (imo) on a $252 purchase.

Midweek dates in Las Vegas are often already fairly inexpensive, and on a regular rate $70/nite hotel room there just isn't that much margin to discount 50% or more.

You could get what looks to be The Linq for about the same price as above or Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino for $64/nite, should either of those be more appealing to you.

what is the 4 star hotel on the strip southwest.  It says $55

AND UNDER SUMMARY OF CHARGES ON PRICELINE IT SAYS "ADDITIONAL MANDATORY FEE"  IS THAT THE RESORT FEE?

ALSO IF YOU KNOW THE NAME OF THE 3.5 STAR ON THE STRIP NORTHWEST AREA THAT WOULD BE GREAT.  ITS $26 A NIGHT

When requesting help please provide the full details of the property in question (including the complete amenity set)... are you sure it's not one of the $55/$56 hotels from your original post?

Yes, the 'additional mandatory fee' is typically the resort fee that would be paid directly to the hotel... this amount will be the same regardless of how you book (sometimes it will include taxes, sometimes not, and sometimes may not be updated if the resort fee has recently changed)

Sorry, i was referring to the reply to your first post where a PRICELINE EXPRESS option was presented.

Are you on the bidding name your own price side of PRICELINE... or on the PRICELINE EXPRESS side (where it does show amenities).  If the latter, please provide the full details including the amenities shown.

I'm not sure what it is that you're looking at since PRICELINE EXPRESS offers don't show the different bed choices until after you click thru on the offer, but to make it easy, do your search with our BiddingHelper.com tool (which you should be using anyway) and look in the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab... do you see the amenities listed now?

What would be your suggestion for the most bang for my buck? I did the math and It looks like the most I can spend is $55 a night without resort charges (unless the resort fee is low) because the plane ticket is $245 a person. My budget is no more then $450 a person with the plane ticket and hotel (total $900 for 2 people) .  So I need the hotel to be to be around $400 for the stay.  Is the stratosphere that bad? Why is it so cheap. I haven't heard great things about the linq. I dont plan on being at thr hotel thst much because i have so much planned but i do care about cleanliness. Thanks for all your help this site has really helped me on previous vacations.

My preference would be The Linq or Planet Hollywood depending upon what you're looking for and/or what your budget will allow.

Stratosphere is in the very north part of the strip which is beyond what most consider to be 'the strip' and you won't be centrally located.

The Linq is fairly new (renovated) and has a new promenade right outside the door which has some restaurants (including an In N Out Burger)  and other attractions... but it's a 'basic' casino hotel with no real theme or attempt at the 'glitz' of Vegas.  Planet Hollywood tries a bit harder at being a 'true Vegas' hotel.

NOTE that the W hotel above is not on the 'main' part of the strip.
