Dears from Better Bidding,

First of all, I congratulate you for your tips. They are really wonderful!!

My wife and I are planning to travel to NYC, from 26.09 (September 26th) to 04.10 (October 10th) - 8 nights. Our budget is around 1,750,00 including taxes and fees.

Regarding the hotel we want something modern, clean and with a good location - it would be wonderful if we could stay next to Times Square and/or Central Park.

Could you please give us some advice? If you need further information, do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards.

To confirm, i assume you mean Oct 4th?

Is your budget firm at $1750 (this is USD, correct?) or could you stretch a little further if there is something attractive for a little more? (haven't looked yet since want to first confirm your dates, but figured i'd get more information now to save having to ask later in the discussion)

Unfortunately i'm not currently seeing anything within your budget that i would necessarily feel the need to jump on at the present time... do you feel a need to get this booked asap?

There i no way to know if rates will come down, or move higher between now and your trip... but in all likelihood you will likely need to increase your budget a bit.

For example is this offer:

4* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area for $190
Pets Allowed
Business Center
Restaurant
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> best guess would be the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel

Next least expensive is a 4* in the Lower East Side zone for $198/nite, which i didn't think you wanted to stay in this zone.

I think you'll likely be looking at something in this price range, but hopefully a better hotel than the Wyndham New Yorker.
